Phiko Security Services was founded on a simple standard: personnel that enhance the businesses and people they protect, not just occupy a post. That standard still shapes how every operation is staffed and run today.

Our Story

Phiko Security Services was established and registered in 1998 as a 100% black-owned security company, and holds Level 2 BBBEE status today. Over more than two decades, the company has built its reputation on personnel that enhance the businesses and people they protect — not simply occupy a post.

That growth has been matched by investment in people: comprehensive training programmes and a culture of continuous improvement ensure Phiko's personnel are prepared for the evolving security needs of every client, across disciplines from Guarding and Close Protection to Investigations and VIP Protection.

Phiko now operates from a head office in East London, Eastern Cape, with additional branches in Kokstad (KwaZulu-Natal), Fourways (Gauteng), and Klerksdorp (North West) — a footprint built to deliver efficient, effective security services across a broad geographical area.

The company prides itself on adapting to the unique security challenges of commercial, residential, industrial and retail sectors alike, backed by a team equipped with the latest tools and techniques for everything from routine surveillance to emergency response.
